Paris Grand in Paris Ontario begins with a bang - a 532 yard par five that plays from elevated, terraced tees to a tree lined fairway with tall native grasses bordering the playing
area. This scene repeats itself several times along a hilly terrain, with significant natural areas waste bunkers along the way. There are 83 soft sand bunkers situated near the
landing zones off the tee or located greenside. No ponds or lakes are on property, but marshlands abound. From the front tee boxes this course is quite manageable - from the
two back sets golfers have their work cut out for them.
There are 4 sets of tee areas that play to distances and slopes measuring 6771 yards/137 slope, 6083 yards/126 slope, 5533 yards/117 slope for men and 130 for women, and
4849 yards with a slope of 110 for men and 120 for ladies hitting from the front tees. 150 yard stakes and 100, 150 and 200 yard markers are posted on the fairways and cart path
of all par fours and fives. Small markers on the flagsticks indicate the day's front, middle or back hole locations.
The clubhouse features a pro shop, Greenside Bistro Restaurant and Lounge, plus banquet/event facilities for up to 180 people. There is a resort building on property with rooms
for overnight accommodations for up to 14 people. Practice facilities include a driving range and putting/chipping green.
