Oliver's Nest Golf Club, located just west of Lindsey, Ontario, is an 18-hole championship golf course designed by the renowned golf course architect, Graham Cooke. Located
just west of Lindsay, Ontario in the beautiful Karwatha district of Ontario, Oliver's nest winds through 130 acres of pristine rolling terrain. The natural wetlands, the Mariposa Creek,
and the stately stands of Elm, Cedar and Oak trees provide a wonderful habitat for many species of birds and small creatures.
The clubhouse features a golf shop, a licensed snack bar/ restaurant and banquet facilities for outings and catered events. A grass practice range is on property as well as a
practice chipping green and putting green. Lessons and clinics are available for individuals and groups.
The course design is classic Graham Cooke - it takes advantage of the natural rolling terrain and incorporates natural waste areas and water hazards into a very interesting
layout. This par 71 course is a nice mix of tight tee shots, wide open fairways, intimidating carries and beautiful par 3's. The bent grass tees, greens and fairways are nicely
manicured and the greens are fast and true. Again, there is a nice mix of undulating, sloping, small and large greens. Some are almost multi-tiered and most slope back to front.
Five holes have water in play and 55+ bunkers dot the course.
Oliver's Nest provides every level of golfer with a challenging, fun, and fair game of golf. There are 4 sets of tees. The back tees measure 6,625 yards with a slope of 129 and a
rating of 71.4. Two sets of middle tees at 6,145 yards and 5,675 yards carry slope ratings of 122/116 and ratings of 68.8/66.8 respectively. The forward tees offer relief from some
difficult carries and measure 5,165 yards with a slope/rating of 125/70.8
There are no residences on the course, thus many of the holes are quite picturesque. From immaculately maintained tree lined fairways to wide open links-style holes with large
bunkered swales lining the fairways, Oliver's Nest is a very fair test of golf skills in a wonderful environment. Friendly, knowledgeable staff provide excellent service and we highly
recommend a round here.
