Grey Silo is a par 71 design with top notch facilities - good enough to play host to the LPGA ( the event in 2013 - July 7th-10th). Golfers will encounter manicured conditioning from
tee to green along with thoughtful landscaping that is pleasing to the eye. The rolling undulating fairways lead to raised green complexes that are well protected by soft sand
bunkers and nearby mounding. Tall native high grasses border the fairways and green complexes, adding beauty as well as challenge. There are 45 sand bunkers ( many quite
expansive) located near the landing zones or greenside, and water hazards come into play in some shape or form on 11 holes.
There are 4 sets of tee areas that play to distances and slopes measuring 6532 yards/131 slope, 6081 yards /128 slope for men and 139 for women, 5653 yards/126 slope for
men and 136 for women and 5197 with a slope of 120 for men and 124 for ladies hitting from the forward tee boxes. The tee boxes are marked and 150 yard stakes and 100, 150
and 200 yard markers are posted on the fairways and cart path of all par fours and fives. Pin placement designation is posted on the scorecards. The putting surfaces are large
and mildly undulating and putt fast and true, so land in regulation and low scores can be had.
The clubhouse features a nice pro shop and restaurant/lounge, plus banquet/outing facilities and locker rooms with showers. Cart covers are mounted on each cart, to protect
clubs during inclement weather. Practice facilities include a targeted grass range, short game area with sand bunker, plus putting green. The surrounding views are gorgeous,
with plentiful wetlands and mature trees throughout the property.
The landing zones are player friendly - all levels of golfers will be able to enjoy a round here! For more info on Grey Silo, visit our page for the course with direct link to their website
