Conestoga Golf Club in Conestoga, Ontario is 27-hole layout featuring a mix of open and tightly tree lined fairways along a mildly rolling terrain. The photos in this review are of the
Goose Run and Village nines. The Goose run course features a couple holes with hidden greenside water hazards - so check out the hole diagrams on the scorecard if not sure.
The Village features a couple of very scenic bridges that cross over lakes on holes 2 and 5. The Moors is the longest of the 3 nine hole layouts with the Village being the shortest.
All three courses include some challenging doglegs that favor a left to right shot shape. 15 holes have water in play in some shape or form, and there are 41 sand bunkers in total.
There are 3 sets of tee areas that play to distances measuring Goose Run 3059 yards, Village 2747 yards and Moors 3154 yards. There are not slope ratings available but this
course is near mid range in terms of difficulty. 150 yard stakes and 100, 150 and 200 yard markers are posted on the fairways and cart path of all par fours and fives. Color coded
flags indicate the front, middle or pack pin placements. The tee boxes are also marked.
The clubhouse features a pro shop, restaurant/lounge, plus outing/event facilities. There are locker rooms with showers and a sauna! Practice facilities include a
putting/chipping green, but no range. Partial cart paths mean that golfers can often drive directly to their ball.
The course was in very good condition on our review visit. For more info on Conestoga, visit our page for the course with direct link to their website by CLICKING HERE.
