Cobble Hills is set on a gorgeous, rather secluded piece of golf property, along a mildly rolling terrain with mix of fairly open and tightly tree lined fairways. When we played this
course the greens and fairways were in great shape, and we appreciated the serene environment. Golfers will encounter level shots on most holes, and the flat greens can
provide low scores if reached in regulation. Prior course knowledge comes in handy here, especially with the numerous doglegs. As an example - the par four 15th is just over
300 yards - but the dogleg left occurs at a right angle leaving just a sand or lob wedge to the green. 15-17 set up a nice finish, with the par 3 17th playing from a severely elevated
tee box from a top a ski slope.
There are 3 sets of tee areas that play to distances measuring 5785 yards from the tips, 5439 yards from the whites, and 5050 from the red tee boxes. Slopes range from 111 to
115. 150 yard stakes and 100, 150 and 200 yard markers are posted on the fairways and cart path of all par fours and fives. Pin placement are indicated by the small markers on
each flag stick - with front, middle or back hole locations.
The clubhouse features a small pro shop and restaurant/lounge, and there is a practice green for chipping and putting nearby and a targeted driving range as well. Cart paths are
partial, so place of play is good with golfers being able to drive directly to their ball. Rates here are very reasonable.
