CLOVERDALE LINKS GOLF COURSE (613-774-0076)
Ontario Golf Course Review 7/25/2005
Cloverdale Links is a par 71 Scottish links influenced design featuring wide fairways with abundant landing
areas that afford even the beginning player with a great shot of hitting the fairways off the tee. Native brush and
fescue are located along the boundaries of each hole, and only come into play on very badly missed shots.
Three sets of tee boxes play to distances and slopes measuring 6427 yards/109 slope, 5830 yards/104 slope
and 5150 yards with a slope of 97 from the red tees. The bluegrass fairways and bent grass greens were in
great shape on our late July visit, providing good playing conditions despite a drought that lasted most of the month.
On course color coded stakes and yardage blocks are posted at 100, 150 and 200 yards, and pin placement is
indicated by small markers on the flag sticks for front, middle and back hole locations. The clubhouse features a
small pro shop and snack area serving hot and cold sandwiches and beverages. Complete practice facilities consist of a targeted grass range, putting green and a short game area with two sand bunkers.
Water comes into play on the perimeters of 8 holes, with no forced carries necessary. In total, there are 51 sand
bunkers located greenside or along the sides of the sweeping fairways…with most non-penal in nature.
Cloverdale is the sister property of Emerald Links - with Players Cards available that can earn redemption
towards green fees, merchandise or cart rental. All professional services of the Ottawa Golf Academy are also
available to guests at either course. Clinics, camps and lessons are offered. For more info on Cloverdale, visit our page for the course with direct link to their website by clicking here.
